One of my most challenging things to handle as the No Money Guy is getting airtime for my beloved Blackberry.

I know I should be over this by now but I still have difficulty asking for help. It shouldn’t be a problem but my ego does still get the better of me sometimes Trading is great but there is still so much space in the world for people to be kind to each other just because they can. So am committed to opening myself to giving and receiving in that way more and more.

So, in the last few weeks there have been a few instances where exactly that has happened.

My friend Jacques Maritz was the first to surprise me about 2 weeks ago. He just decided to give me some airtime. What makes that so cool is that he and I have never done a trade or worked on anything together. In fact, we only met once at my friend Dawn Penny’s birthday party and since then we have been friends on Facebook. I guess, he just likes what I am up to and wants to support me.

So, Jacques….I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for giving me airtime, I really needed it. I had only a few days before I would have lost my blackberry subscription and then I would have cried!!! And, I know you don’t want anything in return but if you can think of a way that I can help you then please let me know:-)

Then, just the other day I made a new friend called Janet Chadwick. She heard about me from another Facebook friend called Soshanna Taryn Shari Hayhoe. I believe she checked me out online for a bit and found my new fan page called Simple Social Skills. She asked a question about marketing her business called Chadwick Coaching, I helped, and then we connected as friends on Facebook. Then yesterday I asked for some helping to test something on skype and Janet volunteered. And then after connecting on skype we got chatting…as new friends do
After a while she asked me a very good question, “where is my wishlist?” And then she pressed me to tell her what I needed and I told her that it was airtime

So, Janet…let me take this opportunity to officially thank you for the conversation, the new friendship and the airtime.

There is something else very powerful that is coming out of our connection but that will be the subject of another blog post.

He offered 1 years worth of hosting worth R1200 to someone who helps me to live without money. My friend Bertrand saw the post and asked what I wanted in exchange – I decided a competition was in order.

Right now my biggest need is for AIRTIME & FOOD (especially until my house sitting gig ends on the 4th of December). So, all you need to win is get me some of what I need…easy peasy!
