Have you ever wondered what you would do if you couldn’t spend any money?
How would you eat?
Where would you live?
How would get around?
What would you do for fun?

Well, I did more than wonder, I decided to find out. So, on the 5th of May 2009 I began a rather ambitious, somewhat crazy, potentially world changing experiment.

I AM ON A MISSION TO LIVE FOR 5 YEARS WITHOUT MONEY – do you think I can do it?

So far I have managed for almost 6months, only 4 years and 6 months still to go!

How do I propose to live without money you may be asking? Well, I have done so with a combination of things:

1.    A lot of kindness from friends both old and new
2.    Energy exchanges (I do stuff for people, they buy / give me stuff)
3.    Sponsorship (my friends with business give me their products / services and I talk about them on my blog and on Facebook)

I am relying on a simple belief that if I help enough people, my needs will be taken care of.

Now, I need to make one thing clear…

I AM NOT DOING THIS AS SOME GIMMICK JUST TO GET FREE STUFF!

My motivation runs deeper than that, there is a much bigger picture at stake than just free stuff.

So why am I doing this? My friend Tony Seifart asked me the other day on Skype why I gave up money, this is what I wrote:

There is another side to this project too. I believe that this story has the potential to be very big and capture a lot of attention from a lot of people. The kind of attention that can be turned into lots of money, money that I will give away to people, organisations and projects that are making a difference in South Africa.

MY GOAL IS TO GIVE AWAY R555 555 555.55 by the 5th of May 2014. With the help of my friends I am totally convinced that is possible.
